Sorry Michael you do have to get 'in' the plane! Michael had a fear of flying ~

"Michael had a fear of flying and he liked to spend time chatting with his support team to take his mind off of the altitude. Sometimes he'd even walk the aisles of the plane, back to coach, and meet and greet fellow passengers. Michael wouldn't fly private jets because his rationale was 'the bigger the plane' the less turbulence". And a bigger plane was more comfortable and allowed him to get up and move or stretch around the cabin. The food, the atmosphere, the pillows were different in each place we went, We had to be careful and mindful to navigate these things, at least the ones within our control, So we'd bring him comfy pillows, make sure there was enough water for a camel, and keep him laughing"

Sorry Michael du must rein ins flugzeug! Michael mochte das fliegen nicht.
„Michael mochte das fliegen nicht und er mochte es mit seinem team zu plaudern, um sich von der flughöhe abzulenken. Manchmal ging er sogar die gänge des fliegers entlang auf dem weg zu seinem coach und er grüsste die übrigen fluggäste. Michael flog nicht mit einem privat jet, seine ratio war je grösser das flugzeug desto weniger turbulenzen. Und ein grösseres flugzeug war wesentlich komfortabler und erlaubte ihm sich in der kabine zu bewegen und auszudehnen. Das essen, die atmosphäre und die decken waren in jedem flugzeug anders. Wir handhabten alles sehr sorgfältig und aufmerksam, jedenfalls das, was wir selbst tun konnten. „Wir brachten ihm bequeme kissen und stellen sicher, dass das kamel immer genügend wasser hatte und brachten ihn zum lachen.“

"Where does my stocking go?" ~ More memories from Brad Sundburg who explains the photo~

This was from 1994, during the HIStory album in NY. That's me, in the Santa suit, and my good friend (multi-Grammy winning) Brian Vibberts is the elf. Michael was hanging out with us also. I mean, who wouldn't want to hang out with Santa and his elf?

We brought in a kid's choir to work on some songs, and it sort of morphed into a full-blown Christmas party in the studio. Brian and I gave out Christmas gifts to the kids, and I think Michael is looking for a mantel to hang his stocking. HO HO HO!

“Wo ist mein strumpf hingekommen?”

Es war 1994 während der (aufnahmen) zum History album in NY. Das bin ich im Santa-anzug und mein guter freund (vielfacher Grammy gewinner) Brian Vibberts ist der Elf. Michael hing auch mit uns rum. Ich meine, wer würde nicht gerne mit Santa und seinem Elf abhängen?
Wir hatten einen kinderchor da um für ein paar songs zu arbeiten und es entwickelte sich zu einer Christmas party im studio mit allem drum und dran. Brian und ich überreichten den kindern geschenke und ich glaube, Michael suchte nach einem kaminsims, um seine strümpfe dranzuhängen. Ho Ho Ho!

Who won this game of Jenga ~ Michael or Brad Sundburg? Brad tells the story ~

"So let me tell you about this photo and note. Many of you have already seen the photo of Michael and I playing Jenga (I won), but the note is kind of cool. Michael was never known for his spelling, but he was amazingly honest. One evening during the Dangerous project he went up to the front desk at Record One, and our runner/resident comedian Rob Disner was out getting food or something. Michael needed a pen, just a simple 5-cent ink pen. So he takes one, but leaves Rob this note. How cool is that? Michael was at the top of his game, making a new album, prepping for the next tour, building Neverland, writing songs, etc., but he writes a note about taking a pen. Rob kept it and has it framed in his house, which I think is awesome.

Wer gewann dieses Jenga spiel - Michael oder Brad Sundberg?

„Ich werde nun was zu diesem foto und der notiz erzählen. Viele von ihnen sahen bereits dieses foto, welches Michael und mich beim Jenga spielen zeigt (ich gewann), doch die notiz ist irgendwie cool. Man kannte Michaels art der mitteilungen nicht wirklich, sie waren erstaunlich ernst. Eines abends während des Dangerous projekts ging er zum empfangstresen von Record One während unser mädchen für alles und ‚alleinunterhalter‘ Rob Disner für alle essen brachte oder sowas. Michael brauchte einen stift, einen simplen 5 cent stift. Er nahm sich einen und hierließ Rob diese notiz. Wie cool ist das denn? Michael war ganz oben auf, machte ein neues album, bereitete sich für die nächste tour vor, baute Neverland um, schrieb songs etc .. und er schrieb eine notiz, da er einen stift nahm. Rob behielt sie und sie hängt gerahmt in seinem haus, ich denke das ist bemerkenswert.
