In a brief interview with British magazine, „Mojo”, Will I Am offers new details on Michael Jackson’s new album, and describes it as: „An incredible vocal work”.

As usual, of course, the work is a result of a large creative process.

Michael Jackson’s new album, with collaborations by Teddy Riley, Neff-U and Kanye West (among others) is in the works.

The album was initiated in 2006, in Irland, then in Las Vegas.

During the summer of 2007, Will I Am came up with 3 or 4 songs for the album.

Will I Am explains and describes the outcome of the new album for „Mojo” magazine:

„The rhythm is not very erratic / the beats are not too crazy. But, definitely, the vocals are simply incredible. Some songs could stand the test of time / could stay relevant for generations to come.”

Ne-Yo: "MJ Wird Größtes Comeback Aller Zeiten Haben"

R&B Sänger Ne-Yo, der auch schon Lieder für MJs neues Album geschrieben hat, ist derzeit mit den Pussycat Dolls auf Tour. Er meinte nun, daß MJ das beste Comeback haben wird, da sein neues Material perfekt sei:
"Ich gebe ihm die Lieder und er kann auswählen. Aber ich habe keine Ahnung, wann das Album kommt. Das ist eine Frage an Michael. Das ist wie ein riesiger Datensatz für ihn, damit kann er so wählerisch sein wie er mag. Es ist entweder das größte Comeback, das er jemals hatte, oder ein trauriger Versuch an alte Zeiten anzuknüpfen. Und das Letztere wollen wir doch nicht."

Ne-Yo über den ersten Kontakt zu MJ:

"Er ist einer meiner Helden und das erste Treffen mit ihn war surreal. Am Anfang wusste ich nicht, was zu sagen, aber bald brach das Eis durch das Gespräch über Musik. Und es ist kein Geheimnis, ich legte wieder auf als er das erste Mal anrief. Ich dachte es war ein Witz. Der in Harlem geborene Musiker und Produzent Teddy Riley hat in der Vergangenheit schon mehrere Male mit Michael Jackson zusammengearbeitet- zum Beispiel für den Klassiker 'In the Closet.' Als Unterhaltungskünstler hat er in den 1990er mehrere Hits mit diversen Bands, Guy und BLACKstreet ('No Diggity').

In einem Interview mit boston.com wurde Riley an einer Zusammenarbeit am neuen Michael Jackson Album befragt:

Frage: Sie haben sehr intensiv mit Michael Jackson zusammengearbeitet, haben Sie etwas für sein neues Album gemacht?

Riley: Ich wurde bisher nicht angerufen und weiß nicht, was derzeit abgeht. Ich bin mir sicher er will die Lieder hören, die wir schon haben. Aber wenn diese nicht zu ihn gehen wird Chris Brown diese Lieder bekommen (lacht).

Randy Phillips, Vorsitzender und Aufsichtsratsvorsitzender der AEG LIVE erzählte "The Times", das die zehn Konzerte nur ein erster Schritt einer drei-jährigen Tour seien und ein neues Album auf den markt kommt.

Er sagte: “Die Pressekonferenz war der erste Schritt. Wir haben einen dri-Jahres-Plan mit Michael Jackson und wenn alles gut läuft, werden wir $400,00.- Millionen als Gesamtbetrag einnehmen."

Er bestätigte, das Michael Jackson ca. £50 million für die London Shows einnehmen werde. Zukünftige Tours werden nach New York, Paris und Mumbai gehen.

Der King Of Pop steht ab Juli bei einer Konzertreihe mit 50 Shows in der Londoner O2 Arena auf der Bühne, die bis Februar gehen wird. LONDON (die-news) - Michael Jackson will Leona Lewis ins Boot holen. Der King of Pop will mit der Britin ein Duett aufnehmen und es im Rahmen seiner Comeback-Shows zum Besten geben. Laut der "Sun" soll es sich bei dem Song um "Scream" handeln - diesen hatte ***** 1995 mit Schwesterchen Janet gesungen. Ein Insider sagte: "Michael hat eine Liste von Sängern, von denen er denkt, sie könnten Janets Part einnehmen. Leona steht ganz oben. Er hat sie noch nicht gefragt, aber er ist ein großer Fan von ihr. Sie ist überall auf der Welt ein Star und er denkt, ein Duett könnte beiden Karrieren einen unglaublichen Schub geben." Und es könnte sein, dass Lewis der Bitte von Jackson zustimmt, immerhin sagte sie einmal: "Er ist immer noch eine Legende. Seine Auftritte sind unglaublich, seine Shows sind großartig."

According to several rumours, the release of a new Michael Jackson was planned for late May.

But a fan from the message board NewsMichaelJackson claims that a Michael Jackson single release is planned for June 20th, 2009.

This person claims to have reliable sources, however we cannot confirm how reliable or not this rumour is.

If a new single release is actually planned, it will have nothing to do with Off The Wall 30, since its release was postponed to 2010.

Der Song soll am 12. Oktober erscheinen und nur der Vorbote eines ganzen Albums sein. Auch auf dem Album gibt es – neben den Klassikern – unveröffentlichtes Material aus dem Schaffen des einstigen King of Pop zu hören.


Das Doppelalbum erscheint am 26. Oktober, also genau einen Tag vor dem Kinostart des Michael Jackson Films “This is it!

Administrators of Michael Jackson's estate and his longtime record label, Sony Music Entertainment, Monday announced a seven-year distribution deal for as many as 10 new Jackson projects, including unreleased recordings, DVDs and perhaps even video games, valued at as much as $250 million.

"We and Sony feel that the future for Michael Jackson is unlimited," said John Branca, a special administrator for the estate.

Rob Stringer, chairman of the Columbia Epic label group, a division of Sony, described the deal as a landmark for the recording industry. "The audio rights span across different projects," Stringer said. "There may be theater. There may be films and movies. There may be computer games -- or multimedia platforms that I don't know about today that will happen in 2015."

Jackson died in Los Angeles on June 25, 2009 of acute intoxication from the powerful anesthetic propofol as he was preparing for a series of comeback concerts in London.

Monday's deal eclipses such agreements as Bruce Springsteen's $110-million, seven-album deal with Columbia Records signed in 2005 and British pop crooner Robbie Williams' $150-million, five-album deal with EMI in 2002.

Although Sony enters into the new agreement at a time of plummeting album sales and widespread music industry contraction, sales of so-called "legacy acts" and Jackson's in particular, suggest the potential upside of the agreement. In the nine months since Jackson's death, more than 31 million of his albums have been sold worldwide (with two-thirds occurring overseas), according to a source with knowledge of Jackson's financial dealings who insisted on anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly. Those sales and various recent licensing deals have brought in close to $250 million to the estate -- easing a substantial portion of the nearly half-billion dollars in debt Jackson owed to financial institutions at the time of his death. The Elvis Presley's estate takes in between $50 million and $60 million annually through music sales and licensing deals. Jimi Hendrix's posthumously released album "Valleys of Neptune" may sell 100,000 copies in its first week of release according to Billboard magazine.

And in addition to several recent re-releases and repackaging of the singer's CDs and movies, Frank Sinatra's estate signed a deal with Warner Music Group in 2008 to explore projects including a restaurant chain, an Old Blue Eyes-themed casino and the use of Sinatra's image to market luxury goods.

The Beatles continue to thrive in the marketplace four decades after their breakup and despite the deaths of two members, John Lennon and George Harrison. More than 60 million Beatles albums have been sold domestically since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking retail sales in 1991.

"If you look at Elvis and the Beatles, and how their brands are thriving, they only hint at what the future holds for Michael," Branca said.

Sony and the Jackson estate already have plans in place for a reissue of Jackson's multi-platinum selling 1979 album "Off the Wall" next year, that will contain a trove of new, exclusive material.

"The stuff we have in the vaults around that record is fascinating and remarkable," Stringer said. "We're going to build a whole platform with a documentary. The outtakes are fantastic! We have a lot of great stuff from around every time period [in Jackson's career]. We're plowing through everything now to understand what we've got."

As well, Jackson estate co-executor John McClain -- a 40-year confidant of the entertainer who produced part of Jackson's 2001 album "Invincible" -- is spearheading the selection of an album of previously unreleased material that could hit shelves late this year.

"John McClain tells me they've got over 60 unreleased recordings that they're choosing from," Branca said. "The first album will have around 10. There's some very recent stuff and vintage stuff that deserves to be shared with Michael's fans."

According to the late King of Pop’s Estate administrator John Branca, the upcoming collection is set to feature an all-star roster of producers.

“We are finishing up the album as we speak,” Branca tells VIBE. “There will be some will.i.am, Teddy Riley and Rodney Jerkins songs. We don’t want to put 10 unrelated songs together. We want to put together an album that fits well.”
